Deep Water Challenge

Our client had a generator storage tank in the basement of their building. The tank was located 3 stories deep in the basement which was completely flooded by hurricane Sandy.

The new tank had to be partially manufactured and delivered to work site in pieces. Once the newly constructed tanks were positioned in the new fuel storage room, the existing pumps and electronics were also replaced. Additionally, we added new technology gaining the ability to view the status of the fuel system from anywhere in the world on an iPhone.

We were contracted to set up emergency fuel for the generator while we removed fuel and existing tank since it was damaged from floatation.

ASME Chilled Water Tanks for Data Facilities

Inspect & Detect

A newly constructed building at a major university had developed major leaks in the chilled/hot water risers that ran all the way up the 30 story structure. As the piping runs were already insulated and behind dry wall, this presented a complex challenge in order to identify and define the damage.

Our task was to find leaks so they could be repaired this was performed using helium tracer gas along with scented smoke that was sent up riser which was located using sniffers.

CHALLENGE

SOLUTION:

An Aircraft hanger fiberglass air ducting system was damaged. Water was entering the air connection sumps at a aircraft hanger. We were called to diagnose water intrusion location.

With the use of our remote tractor camera inspection system we were able to take a 360 degree view of the inside of the pipe. We located the damage caused by sheet metal screws that were screwed into the pipe. Since the pipe was buried below 24” of reinforced concrete removing damaged sections was not an option.

With our tractor we adapted our high pressure /volume graco pump sprayer to coat resin 360 degrees internally for the entire pipe run.

Remote Generator Fueling for Cell
Tower Generator Day Tanks

Design & Build a DOT trailer mounted tank to fuel remote fuel tanks for generators that support cell towers during power outages. Tank had to be narrow to fit down access roads, DOT design rated for over the road use for Flamable/Combustable liquids. Trailer needed to be self contained unit to operate pump for filling operations.

We designed a factory packaged DOT tank and trailer assembly with gas driven 25 GPM pump sand 50’ electric hose reel with auto nozzle. Equipped with 250 watt LED site lighting for night fueling operations. This is a dual function unit which allows fueling and defueling/polishing of fuel in their tanks. Unit is totally enclosed and lockable.
