ABOVE GROUND UL 142 SINGLE WALL TANKS
Here at Fuel Gard, we have been working in the fuel supply system industry for more than forty years. As a family-owned and operated business, we pride ourselves on designing, manufacturing, and installing custom-made tanks to meet the needs of our clients. Our Above Ground UL-142 Tanks are specifically engineered and designed to provide our clients with a safe and effective petroleum product and chemical storage solution that they can depend on.
Versatile And Reliable
Aboveground storage tanks (ASTs) are used in a range of different applications, in a variety of industries. From storing petroleum-based products to chemicals to wastewater, these tanks are versatile, durable, and built to stand the test of time. Here at Fuel Gard, all of our tanks are designed to meet the specific needs of our customers to ensure that they have a reliable and robust AST in place.
Compliant With AST Regulations
Because many aboveground storage tanks are used to store materials that are either flammable or combustible, the Federal Government has enforced strict AST regulations in place that must be adhered to. These regulations have been put in place to keep operators and any personnel who are near the tank safe. They are also designed to keep protect the surrounding environment from spills and potential contamination that can result from leaks, overfilling, and construction failure. At Fuel Gard, all of our AST Tanks are designed and manufactured to meet these strict Federal AST regulations.
Design And Construction
Here at Fuel Gard, our ASME-certified welders, are highly-skilled and experienced, ensuring that we always produce the best possible results for our clients. All welding on our aboveground storage tasks is completed in accordance with ASME standards. Our skilled welding technicians gan tungsten arc welding (GTAW) TIG weld all of the tank seams to guarantee there are no welding failures down the line. At Fuel Gard, our tanks are offered in maintenance-free 304/316 stainless steel.
Coatings And Finishes
Typically, aboveground storage tanks are stored outdoors, where they are exposed to all sorts of different weather conditions. To ensure that your tank is protected against weather exposure, at Fuel Gard, we prepare all of our weather-exposed tanks in accordance with SSPC SP-1 and NACE1 Standards. To ensure maximum coating adhesions, we verify the anchor profile with Testex Press-O-Film tape.
To keep your AST protected against corrosion, we use Sherman Williams, a high-performance industrial-quality marine coating to ensure the integrity of the tank. Ferrous surfaces are coated using a two-component polyamide-epoxy mastic applied to a dry film thickness (DFT) of 5 to 7 mils. The topcoat is a two-component acrylic aliphatic urethane applied to 2 to 3 mils DFT.
Quality Control And Labelling
All of our coatings are checked during our rigorous quality control procedures using a wet film thickness gauge and a dry film thickness gauge, once the coating has fully cured. We label all of our tanks in accordance with OSHA and NFPA requirements to ensure that your employees are protected from potential hazards in the workplace and that the risk of fire and other risks have been mitigated. If you require custom colors or custom labeling on your AST, be sure to speak with our design team about your requirements so we can include them in the final product.
